Mahila Jagran Nepal (Women Awareness Nepal-WAN) a non-profit and non-political organization established in 2070 BS by the group of dedicated women to advocate and achieve the various rights to Indigenous and Dalit women legally granted by national and international level. It has registered under the Institution Register Act, 2034 BS of Nepal. It is registered in District Administrative Office (DAO) Kathmandu, Nepal. The registration no. in DAO is 1070 and the registration date is 2070/02/19 BS. The affiliated no. in Social Welfare Council is 37257 and the date of affiliation is 2013/06/02. To empower and improve livelihood of Indigenous and Dalit women through right base advocacy as well implementing different programs directed by national and international law and policies.

• To advocate right of Indigenous and Dalit women of Nepal based on the national and international law and policies.
• To organize sensitize program on education, health and income generating program which daily influence in their life.
• To implement long term and short term program on income generating program.
• To organize seminar, workshop aiming to sensitize Indigenous and Dalit women on climate change through the respective

• To organize training related to agriculture for the better improvement of livelihood.
• To organize the awareness program on conservation and utilization of biological diversity.
• To identify and farming of medicinal plant available in the country.
• To organize literacy program on reproductive health.
• To make aware to indigenous on right of economic, cultural and social aspects.
• To conduct research in different aspects and implement program to change the situation.
• To help state mainstreaming the women.
• To organize mass gathering, seminar and workshop on Indigenous and Dalit women right by taking approval letter from
• respective government authority.
• To coordinate with likeminded national and international government and non-governmental organizations.
